Bridal Gown Alterations Request (BRIDES ONLY)

Book a specialized fitting appointment for your bridal dress to ensure you look and feel perfect on the big day. This service includes hemming, bust and waist adjustments, strap modifications, bustle additions, and other alterations specific to formal wear. Bridal gowns require at least 8-10 weeks before the event date. For custom changes, allow up to 10-16 weeks.

Garment Redesign Request

This service is perfect for creative projects beyond standard alterations—whether you're looking to revamp a thrift find, add custom embellishments, completely redesign a piece, or bring your vision to life with personalized modifications.
During your consultation, we'll discuss your ideas, assess the item, and create a plan to achieve your desired look. This dedicated time ensures your project receives the individual attention it deserves.

Custom Garment Request (In-person or Virtual)

Where imagination meets craftsmanship — each custom garment is built entirely from the ground up to bring your vision to life. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone birthday, walking down the aisle, or making a statement at prom, every piece is designed to reflect your individuality and confidence.

Custom creations begin at $500, with final pricing determined by design complexity, fabric choice, and embellishment detail. The process includes a personal design consultation, custom-fit measurements, and 2–3 fittings to ensure a flawless result that feels as exceptional as it looks. From concept to final stitch, each garment is a one-of-a-kind experience made exclusively for you. Rush orders not available and custom items typically require 3+ months lead time.

Once your desired date/time are submitted, you will receive a confirmation email requesting additional details - including photos and a description of the service needed. A $100- deposit is required to secure your appointment. Your deposit will go towards your final bill.

In-Home Alteration Services

In-home fittings are offered as a convenience-based service and include a $65 fee for locations within 5 miles, covering travel, consultation, and garment pinning. Alterations are priced separately based on each garment, with a minimum of 2 garments or $150 in services required to book. The fitting fee is non-refundable and secures your appointment. Once your booking request has been submitted, we will contact you to confirm details. Additional fees will apply for locations beyond 5 miles. Alterations are done separately in our studio and completed garments can be picked up by the client, or delivered for an additional fee (based on location)

Private Bridal Shopping Consultation

This private, in-person consultation is designed for brides who have narrowed down their options but want professional guidance before saying yes to the dress. Pricing is based on location and date/time starting at $125.

With 7+ years of experience in fashion, bridal styling, garment construction, and tailoring, I’ll join you at your bridal appointment to help you see beyond the fitting room and understand each gown’s true potential.

Perfect for indecisive brides, solo shoppers, or anyone thinking, “I love it, but I wish this part looked different.”

During your appointment, I’ll help you:

• Compare your final gown options based on fit, construction, and silhouette
• Visualize how each gown could look after alterations
• Understand what can realistically be taken in, reshaped, reduced, removed, added, or customized
• Evaluate details like skirt volume, necklines, straps, sleeves, trains, and bust support
• Identify potential alteration challenges before purchasing
• Feel confident and informed in your final decision

Best booked for your final or near-final shopping appointment when you have a few serious contenders.

Get to Know Your Machine: Simple Set-up Class

This focused 1.5-hour private workshop is designed for beginners or independent learners
who own a sewing machine but need hands-on guidance on how to set it up and operate it
confidently. Bring your own machine and leave feeling empowered to start creating!
This workshop introduces students to the essential functions and components of their
sewing machine. Whether you've never touched it or need a refresher, you'll walk away with
the foundational skills to start sewing independently.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
● Identify the key parts and functions of your sewing machine
● Correctly thread your machine and wind a bobbin
● Understand basic tension settings and stitch types
● Troubleshoot common machine issues
● Practice basic stitches

Mariah tailored my courthouse wedding dress, and I couldn’t have been more thankful that I chose her! I initially bought this dress on a whim and was disappointed in the fit but loved the style and material. I kept it as a potential back up if I couldn’t find any other options. When I first sent my inquiry email to her, I expressed that I didn’t want to feel like I was just in a loose nightgown. She was very prompt in responding and suggested slight adjustments best suited for the dress’s silk material, and was very helpful in guiding me through the process. I was able to quickly schedule for an in person consultation and fitting.

Those slightest adjustments made the biggest difference, and I was honestly shocked that the dress could have ever fit me that way. She tailored it so perfectly for my body and made me feel so confident on my special day. Everything from the scheduling, consultation, and final fitting was such a positive experience. This is my second time using Mariah/Riahstones Couture for a custom project and I couldn't recommend her enough. For this project, she took my civil wedding ceremony dress and repurposed it into a dress for my 10 month niece for our full wedding celebration. She is very creative, friendly, and patient!
